We're seeking for a Residential Behavior Specialist to join our TERI team

The Residential Behavior Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing behavior intervention services within their assigned residential programs. The responsibilities for this position include ensuring the effective implementation of individualized client goals to enhance quality of life, conducting staff training, developing behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA, providing and supervising crisis intervention, and offering direct support services. The Residential Behavior Specialist works closely with the Residential Program Manager, Residential QIDP, and reports directly to the assigned primary BCBA.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Participates in new client assessments and intake, to include development of functional assessments in partnership with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Modifies Adaptive Behavior Support Plans in collaboration with their assigned BCBA.
  • Provide direct client support as part of the Residential Team.
  • Training staff on the principles of behavior management for reducing targeted behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors, implementing individualized client behavior plans, and effectively instructing and delivering personalized goals as outlined in the client's ISP.
  • Coordinates and participates in individual client behavior reviews.
  • Oversees and compiles data collection for Behavior Intervention and ISP programs and goals.
  • Provides new hire staff training on emergency procedures, in rotation with other trainers as assigned. Delivers in-service training, recertification training, follow-up training for new employees, on-the-job training, and other training as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS -
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2 Years experience and/or training working with individuals who have developmental disabilities and experience with severe behavior and learning disorder.
  • Required possession of a current Registered Behavior Technician certification or ability to obtain this certification within 3 months of assuming the position.

Salary Range -

$29.00-$30.00 Hourly

Position Status -

Full-Time

Monday to Friday; Split Shift with occasional weekends.
