Overview

The Behavior Analyst (Behavioral Intervention) designs and supervises the applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children diagnosed with autism, including early intensive behavioral intervention, toddler early intervention, parent training/support, care coordination, behavior consultation, school consultation, and psychoeducational services. The Behavior Analyst trains and supervises the treatment team, caregivers, and providers on the strategies to assist clients in gaining skills and independence.

Responsibilities

* Provide direct clinical care to clients and caregivers, using evidenced-based, behavior analytic treatment procedures, structured assessments, and developmentally appropriate norms. • Design the applied behavior analysis intervention services for each client by assessing needs, developing goals, designing teaching procedures, addressing biopsychosocial barriers to treatment, and using culturally mindful practices, under the supervision of supervising Psychologist. • Assist in submitting prior authorizations, behavioral assessments, and behavior analytic treatment plans. • Provide supervision to BCBA Supervisees and Registered Behavior Technicians and ensure documentation of supervision is completed. Train staff to implement designated teaching procedures for each client. • Conduct parent training according to parents' priorities and address the questions and concerns of parents. • Serve as liaison between the CASD and the client's other service providers and school district personnel. • Meet regularly with supervising Psychologist, or designee and attend routine staff meetings, designated training sessions, in-service trainings, peer review, other intra-agency, supervisory activities and assist with community outreach events and trainings. Note: Regular, reliable, and consistent attendance is an essential job function. Employees are expected to perform work as scheduled. Qualifications

Education Requirement: • Master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, speech, or a related field, required. Licensure Requirement: • Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Certifications: • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), required. • Certification as a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA), required. Skills: • Provide and manage behavioral health services for children, adolescents and families. • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, peers, and community representatives. • Proficiency with MS Office. Experience: • 2 years of experience specializing in the care and management of autism spectrum disorders, required. • At least one year, full-time, as a Behavior Analyst, Case Supervisor, Senior Behavioral Intervention Aide, or a similar position, required. • Experience in providing intervention to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families.
