Responsibilities:

  1. Provides services and treatments to include: Medical Oncology, Hematology, Diagnostic Testing, Clinical Research and Pharmacy.
  2. Works with patient to explain a diagnosis and stage of cancer, discusses treatment options, and assist in managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment.
  3. Maximizes patient and family convenience.
  4. Provides compassionate, comprehensive cancer treatment in a comfortable environment.
  5. Assists patients with pain management.
  6. Keeps records of test results, writes prescriptions, provides patients with information on cancer, and monitors treatment plans. 

Education:

  1. Medical degree in Oncology; successful completion of residency and fellowship in Oncology.

Experience:

  1. Five + years experience in an Oncology environment

Skills:

  1. Caring and compassionate with patients; up-to-date working knowledge of cancers and cancer treatment options; appropriate technical skills to operate equipment related to cancer treatment; strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
