Job Summary

The Radiation Oncology Physicist plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality treatment to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of radiation oncology principles and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform quality assurance duties to ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy
  • Operate treatment planning computers and perform complex calculations for treatment planning
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of radiation oncology principles and technologies
Requirements
  • Medical Physics degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience or residency
  • Treatment planning experience preferred
  • Certification by one of the following organizations in an appropriate area (or board eligible): The American Board of Radiology - Therapeutic Radiological Physics, The American Board of Medical Physics - Radiation Oncology Physics
Work Environment

The Radiation Oncology Physicist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting/moving patients, as well as frequent use of finger/hand dexterity and reaching with hands/arms.
