Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00 an hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Railcar Repair

* Works safely around heavy equipment, railcars and railroad tracks
* Coordinates and competes all railcar repairs and maintenance
* Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs
* Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge

Valve Repair

* Interprets work orders to perform valve removal and repair
* Tags products for identification and reapplication

Overall Responsibilities:

* Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
* Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
* Ensures FRA, AAR and/or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
* Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task

Job Qualifications:

* Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
* May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
* 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
* Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
* Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
