* Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
* Ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations; and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices, includes maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
* Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to accounting and auditor requests.
* Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles, including importing information from timekeeping system for hours worked and PTO.
* Audit W-2 previews for accuracy.
* Implement and administer the employee health, welfare, and retirement plans in compliance with plan documents, all applicable regulations and vendor service agreements, including vendor management, operational reporting, and service management.
* Ensure compliance with ERISA and other legal requirements including but not limited to annual updates and communication of plan documents and summary plan descriptions.
* Possess a working knowledge of all statutory requirements and stays informed on legislative changes impacting employee benefits. Accountable for benefit plan compliance with regulatory filings, notices, ACA mandates, plan audits and Form 5500 filings, non-discrimination testing, and Medicare reporting; includes coordination with COBRA provider.
* Provide in-depth technical support to employees and management on all benefits matters to include claims issues, health plan enrollments, and status changes. Conduct benefits review during new hire orientation.
* Implement and lead the annual enrollment process to include working with Third-party Administrator, conduct annual enrollment employee meetings and ensure that benefits enrollments and vendors files are accurate. Perform audit of annual enrollment to ensure accuracy of coverage eligibility and elections.
* Administer the company's leave programs to include short-term and long-term disability and FMLA.
* Provide in-depth technical support to employees with 401(k) enrollment, plan provisions and with contribution questions.
* Responsible for tracking and verification of carrier and vendor invoices for payment processing.
* Participates in annual budget development, adheres to budget, and provides financial oversight for Benefits costs. Identifies potential cost reduction opportunities and recommends changes as necessary
* Compensation program administration including salary planning and administration, annual merit and incentive programs, and position description creation.
* Partners with HR in the development of compensation solutions, conducts job analysis and market review and recommends appropriate salary grade according to compensation guidelines and practices.
* Coordinates operational aspect of the annual incentive plan, communication, and payout process.
* Other duties as assigned.
