Accounts Payable Assistant

Overview
The AP Assistant plays a key supporting role in facilitating all aspects of vendor relations including creating and maintaining exceptional relationships with both department purchasers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. This is a fast-paced position and requires a strong ability to multi-task. This position will help the accounting office staff with projects as time allows.
Responsibilities
* Processing invoices and credits memos
* Creating purchase orders
* Reconciling statements
* Researching complex statements
* Issuing and mailing payments
* Completing vendor applications
* Receive and distribute AP mail (including email)
* Maintain a professional, organized working environment and attitude
* AR, Payroll or Cash Office help, as required
* Other duties as assigned by the AP Manager
Qualifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Exceptional time management and attention to detail
* Detail oriented with strong mathematical skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks to meet expected deadlines
* Knowledge of BSR operations a plus, but not required
* Data entry experience is preferred
