Job Responsibilities
This position is located at the SC Dept. of Mental Health at Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) at the Camden Clinic, located at 2611 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, S.C. 29020.
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
Under limited supervision, staff will provide monitoring of medication administration and other general health and safety practices by SWCMHC. Provides staff training as needed and direct clinical services to clients in the form of groups, medication administration and other identified needs based on education and credentials; serves as Employee Health and Infection Control Nurse for the Center in collaboration with physicians, case managers and other MHPs. Profession.
* Provide group trainings on medication compliance, health and wellness, and/or psycho-educational content as needed; Provide CCS services to clients as needed and based on credentials.
* Inventory and initiate all PO orders for stock meds, supplies, PPDs, Hepatitis vaccines, Flu vaccines and maintain records; in charge of administration and recording of pre-employment employees' PPDs.
* Function as Employee Health and Infection Control Nurse center-wide, including administration of injections, coordination of work-related injuries and other pertinent activities.
* Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge/skills related to patient treatment; ensure all clinic medication licenses are up to date, monitor monthly pharmacy reports for all clinics and report vulnerable areas to Medical Director. Review nursing policies as requested by the Medical Director and communicate any necessary changes if any are needed; review the Sharps Injury Log.
* Meets productivity requirements as outlined by Center Administration. Under the direction of the Medical Director, assist with even distribution of MMO caseload to nursing and with any other nursing related issues as requested by Medical Director and performs other duties as required.
* Provide LPN coverage throughout the Santee-Wateree CMHC catchment area as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Min. T&E -Successful completion of an approved nursing education program for professional nursing or an equivalent course of study from an approved nursing education program per Section 40-33-32 of the South Carolina Nurse License Act.
DMH Min. T&E (Internal) -
Note: Applicants must also meet Agency minimum requirements to be considered for this position.
Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
