Sentara Healthcare is hiring a Cardiac Surgical Technologist for the Sentara Heart Hospital that is located on the campus of Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia

Up to a $15,000 sign on bonus available for qualified candidates

Full Time, First Shift

REQUIREMENTS:

* Virginia License/Registration REQUIRED
* National Certification REQUIRED
* Completion of Surgical Technologist program REQUIRED

Sentara Heart Hospital is the region's first and only dedicated heart hospital. The cardiothoracic operating room is part of the surgical services team that treat open-heart (cardiothoracic) patients. We are made up of five operating rooms which includes a hybrid OR. We handle 8+ OR cases daily.

Job Summary

Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.

May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.

Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) - Certification - ICCAC
