Manages the operation of the Simulation Lab. Establish and maintain partnerships and collaborations to foster program development and growth.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Plan, implement, and assist with all functions performed in the simulation laboratory.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate teaching methodologies and instructional materials to meet learners' needs and abilities in simulation. Learners include HRHS team members, Hutchinson Community College (HCC) students, and others as identified.
* Assist with proper maintenance of simulation equipment and supplies in collaboration with HCC personnel.
* Coordinate outcome-based education and simulation offerings such as clinicals, orientation/onboarding, skills fairs, new product in-service, etc.
* Participate in continuous evaluation of the organization's simulation program and offerings and educational needs in coordination with peers, team members, leadership and community partners such as HCC faculty.
* Create and maintain a positive educational environment designed to enhance learning and motivation.
* Foster collaborative relationships with community partners to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Coordinate spaces for trainings, meetings, and educational offerings within the Simulation Lab.
* Participate in planning, establishing and implementing goals, programs, and/or projects that facilitate the attainment of strategic, operational and/or department goals.
* Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
* Serves a population newborn through geriatric.
* Provides leadership and consultation in process improvement activities.
* Utilizes and disseminates research findings to promote evidence-based practice, ongoing improvement of patient outcomes, and professional performance.
* Acts as a change agent in collaboration and consultation with multidisciplinary team members to develop innovative approaches to clinical practice and care delivery.
* Serves as a professional role model and promotes effective communication among all disciplines.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Basic computer skills

* Proficiency with hardware including video cameras and microphones

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Master's Degree in Nursing (or the ability to attain within 3 years of hire)
* Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in the hospital setting

REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas, or RN Compact License recognized by Kansas
* Healthcare Provider BLS (or able to attain within 30 days of hire/end of orientation)

PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

* Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
