Job Description

* Schedule: 36 hours per week, Nights

Job Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the Director other designated management and the clinical leadership of a Registered Nurse, provides auxiliary patient care services to meet the personal and routine care needs of patients, and provides clerical services to meet the needs of the nursing unit.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure: Must obtain and maintain:

* BCLS within 90 days of hire
* EKG-Clin within 90 days of hire

Experience: Prefer one year of unit secretary and/or nursing technician experience.

Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Other: Demonstrates a basic understanding of the roles of a Unit Secretary and Nursing Technician in relationship with other medical services Team Members.

Requires a basic understanding of the related behaviors, needs, and comfort measures appropriate to the age

(including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) and diagnosis of the patient served in order to support the

provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.

Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
