Accounts Payable Specialist needed for a contract role with a north Dayton manufacturer This role will be onsite at the Vandalia, OH location, and is responsible to process, audit, and maintain the payment of all invoices. Additionally, the AP Specialist will research and process debit memos, and work to control the accounts payable cycle.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $22-25/hour

Your Responsibilities will be:

Maintains and balances Accounts Payable Subsidiary ledger. Includes printing/filing/scanning invoices and credit memos.

Responsible for AP control worksheets and monthly close balancing.

Perform 2,3 or 4 way match and vouches. Review coding if necessary.

Vouch and reconcile intercompany AP for monthly close

Reviews and follows-up on aged items. Responsible for keeping current and resolving issues.

Monitor AP email. Correspond with suppliers as needed via email, phone. Etc.

Prepare proposed payments for approval via check, wire, and ACH

Maintain and manage log for tariff, freight, tax, and other expenses needing approvals.

Investigates and resolves any issue involving payables including pricing and quantity issues. Maintain tracking log.

Assists with month end non production accruals such as maintenance, supplies, temp labor, and professional services.

Reconcile supplier statements and follow up as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years directly related experience in a manufacturing setting

Associate Degree in Accounting preferred

Advanced keyboarding skills

Computer skills (ERP, Excel, Lotus Notes)
