Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic, business-minded Human Resources Leader to provide expertise, leadership, and guidance to a growing Financial Services organization with ~1500 employees in 250+ branches across 15 states and in 4 corporate offices in Baton Rouge, LA, Ponchatoula, LA, Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC.

The Vice President, Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and implementing people related strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of Republic Finance, specifically in the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, compensation & incentive programs, retention, organizational development, performance management, talent development, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion), employee relations, and employment compliance. The role provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, internal stakeholders, and the compensation committee of the board of directors.

Accordingly, this role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, extensive HR expertise, and the ability to collaborate with executives and managers to drive organizational success.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

* Lead all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation & incentive programs, retention, organizational development, performance management, talent development, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion), employee relations, and employment compliance.
* Collaborate with and advise senior management on strategic direction and resource needs for HR department.
* Manage and develop a team of 30+ HR Professionals including 4 experienced managers.
* Develop and/or implement programs, policies, systems, and services to support business needs and objectives and ensure the most effective use of resources and compliance with applicable laws.
* Lead the administration of our competitive compensation and benefits programs and make recommendations on enhancements.
* Evaluate the company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
* Maintain compliance with changes in employment law, EEOC and other laws and regulations at the state and federal level and communicate with management as necessary.
* Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends in HR and communicate and recommend appropriate actions to executive management.

This is an in-office or hybrid role with 3-5 days per week in the office contemplated.

Our preference is to base this role in our Baton Rouge, LA office, although exceptional candidates based in Dallas, TX or Charlotte, NC will be considered.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in human resources, business administration, communications, and/or behavioral science(s), MBA or master's degree in human resources or related field preferred. Professional certification(s) preferred - PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP.
* 10-15+ years designing and delivering initiatives related to the employee life cycle, including recruiting & onboarding, training and employee development, performance management, employee engagement, DEI, and compensation & benefits.
* 10-15+ years of experience developing and leading teams at varying levels within an HR department.
* The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a senior level HR leadership role with a 1000+ employee, multi-state, multi-location organization.
* Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
* Experience leading change and influencing proactively across multiple levels of the organization. Ability to quickly establish and build effective partnering relationships and inspire trust.
* Demonstrated experience in making sound HR decisions and effectively advising and collaborating with leaders at various levels, including executive management and compensation committees.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across many different levels of the organization and tailor content to the audience.
* Experience leading the design and implementation of large-scale, high-profile initiatives with varying degrees of complexity.
* Approachable and responsive resource who can connect with team members at all levels.
* Strong technical skills, especially with Excel including pivot tables. Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems such as ADP, Cornerstone, and performance management systems.
* Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and hour laws and regulations
