POSITION DETAILS: Chief of Safety and Security - NON-0030
* Salary will be determined according to qualifications and experience
* 12 month
* 21 vacation days per year
* 12 sick days per year
* 5 personal days year

REQUIRED CRITERIA:
* Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), School Safety Specialist, or other relevant security and safety certifications or willingness to become certified.
* Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED, or willingness to become certified.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in school safety, law enforcement, the military, or a related field.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.
* In-depth understanding of school safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and crisis management.
* Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to school safety and security.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively with administrators, district staff, and members of the community.
* Possesses a vision and desire for the implementation and improvement of all aspects of district safety and security.
* Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
* Maintain appropriate levels of physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies.
* Valid and in Good Standing NJ Driver's License
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
* Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, education, or a related field preferred.
