ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Compose, prepare, revise, edit, print and distribute general correspondence, pleadings or other documents as directed. Research for documents as needed. File documents with court.
2. Organize and maintain files and records. Open new files and close existing files following detailed procedure. Update database records as necessary when information changes. Create charts or spreadsheets to track or detail information.
3. Answer and direct telephone calls, relaying or responding to messages as required. Build and maintain client relationships. Handle routine inquiries and provide information to attorney for resolution of more complex issues. Assist to resolve routine inquiries from within the firm or from clients when possible.
4. Update calendars, contact lists and file listings. Schedule meetings, hearings, mediations, travel and/or conference rooms as requested. Monitor pending litigation for deadlines.
5. Enter attorney's time records into time entry system. Assist to design and maintain databases or spreadsheets to track team files, fees and costs, due diligence, billing, and other information. Produce related reports as required.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates should enjoy a teamwork environment, have a professional demeanor, possess excellent communication skills, and be proactive and detail oriented. Excellent computer skills are necessary with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Great benefits and free onsite parking. iManage experience a bonus.
