Registered Behavior Technicians(RBT) provide 1-on-1 care to children with autism through ABA behavior interventions. Behavior techs provide services in our clinics, family homes, and the community. An RBT works alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who will create the therapy plan and monitor progress.

HHF provides personalized, play-based autism services, utilizing ABA therapy for children typically ages 2 to 10. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a practice to help children with autism, reach developmental milestones, improve communication, and grow socially. ABA is a medically prescribed therapy endorsed by the American Medical Association and the US Surgeon General.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-on-1 direct care to children with autism in clinics, at home, or in the community.
  • Manageable case load
  • Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement.
  • Implement therapy sessions designed by a BCBA.
  • Establish a relationship with the client to assess interests and motivators to effectively implement the behavior plan.
  • Accurately collect unbiased behavior data during sessions.
  • Collaborate and participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors to support the clients’ needs.
  • Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs.

 

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 6:00PM
  • Saturday: 8:00AM - 2:00PM; vary depending on the clinic.

 

Employee Availability Policy:

  • Full-time employees: Must be available during all clinic operating hours.
  • Part-time employees: Hours will be set within the clinic operating hours accordingly.

 

Qualifications:

  •   High school diploma or equivalent required (associate or bachelor’s degree in a human services area preferred).
  •   Being comfortable working with children.
  •   Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
  •    Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  •   Strong communication skills for speaking with clients’ families and writing session notes.
  •   Confident interpersonal skills for interactions with the clients’ families.
  •   Complete company provided RBT training and pass the RBT exam (within 90-days after hire).
  •   Reliable transportation (valid driver’s license preferred).
  •   1 year of experience working with children is preferred but not required.
