Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned
* Lead new product development of gas flow control products with a focus on creating quality products that meet all specs and create a smooth and positive customer experience.
* Apply years of first-hand R&D Engineering knowledge and experience to identify risks and minimize risk to the product in a fast paced fast paced multidisciplinary R&D engineering environment.
* Apply interpersonal and technical skill to ensure good communication between cross functional teams and facilitate as needed, to ensure that engineering reviews are "right sized and timed" to efficiently develop quality products on at a fast pace. Facilitate and Drive Engineering Reviews as needed.
* Independently identify risks and take initiative to ensure necessary communication and reviews are conducted to minimize risk in a fast-paced environment. Natural ability to prioritize and plan development timing & schedules.
* Ability to contribute technically in multidisciplinary areas, understand new concepts to innovate solutions and help in areas where team members need help to unpack how scope changes will cascade to implied specifications. Communicate implications to stakeholders.
* Provide routine executive summaries on development status, risks, mitigations, etc to report back to Engineering Director and executive management.
* Driven Entrepreneurial spirit knowledgeable about development risks and passion for innovating outstanding products. Natural leadership and communication ability to create a positive and encouraging environment while holding Engineers and Engineering Managers accountable.
* Technical depth to dive into deep technical details and new concepts. Engineer, assemble, and test prototypes & products where needed.
* Write and manage design control documents, test plans, test execution, and product validation.
* Integrate and feel comfortable working amongst a team of superstar engineers.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong understanding of new product development principles, issues that arise in NPD and practices to mitigate risk.
* Multi-disciplinary (chemical, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering) understanding of first principals and design practices
* Routinely exercise discretion/independent judgment to minimize risk on a fast paced schedule.
* Leadership ability to independently drive projects and articulate ideas and mentor younger engineers
* Outstanding communication. Ability to summarize complex details, interact with internaland external customers
* Technical expertise in the development and commercialization of systems used in semiconductor flow delivery
* Strong Engineering Depth of First Principals. Ability to write general code, familiar with Software development principals
Desired Education and Experience
* B.S.M.E. or B.S.C.E. (Advanced Degree Preferred)
* 10+ years experience with flow delivery components or associated technology
* 5+ years experience with semi-conductor process equipment.
