PAY GRADE: HOURLY/TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE AGREEMENT

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: TEMPORARY

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher degree with a major in education.

2. A minimum of three years of teaching experience.

3. Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing education/continuing professional

learning.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for math services in

individual, and/or small group settings.

2. Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of

the math content standards.

3. Uses a variety of manipulatives and hands-on activities to support content standards

and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups.

4. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy,

administrative guidelines, or specific program requirements.

5. Make provision for being available to students and parents for education-related

purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under

reasonable terms.

6. Conducts or participates in needed parent conferences and telephone conferences.

7. Administers student assessments to identify those eligible for intervention services, to

plan instruction, and/or to assist staff members in learning various assessment

techniques. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide

progress reports as required.

8. Collaborates, as needed, with appropriate school/district personnel regarding

students who may need specialized interventions.

9. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence through professional

development activities.

10. Participates in discussions or activities focused on using research to improve math.

11. Participates in staff development focused on the delivery of math intervention and

assessment.

Other Duties:

1. Attends professional learning opportunities, curriculum development meetings, and

other professional activities.

2. Keeps abreast of developments, research, and new strategies in the field.

Evaluation:

The performance will be assessed annually by the principal.
