Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing Outreach and Engagement Services, Intensive Outpatient, and/or Outpatient Substance Use Programming for Community Behavioral Health Service - Substance Use Disorder Program (CBHS-SUDP), in the Catholic Charities Eastern Washington (CCEW) Catalyst project. All SUD Programming adheres to ASAM, SUD Washington Administrative Codes (WAC's) and state and federal regulations, and in compliance with 42 CFR part 2. The SUDP/T provider will work in a team-based model with other behavioral health providers, peers, care coordinators and other operational staff.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

* The Substance Use Provider will be responsible for facilitating groups, individual therapy sessions, case management, assessments, referrals, and engaging with community partners as needed.
* SUDP will provide prevention intervention services as required by the needs of program participants.
* Work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
* Provide effective Outreach and Engagement services for Catalyst residents.
* Ability to assess for and initiate necessary SUD services for Catalyst residents as per SUD programming.
* Provide coordination of care to other providers, to assist clients in meeting treatment and appropriate level of care needs.
* Ensure treatment planning and interventions are effective, relevant, appropriate, timely, patient centered, culturally competent and age appropriate to the residents of the Catalyst.
* Able to effectively operate CBHS/SUD electronic medical record systems.
* All clinical and non-clinical work will show respect for patient confidentiality, safety, and self-determination.
* Maintain the safety, security, and confidentiality of patients and their families.
* Respectfully collaborate with co-workers and personnel from other agencies.
* Complete all required documentation in an accurate, complete, and timely manner per agency policies and procedures.
* Maintain client files to WAC standards and other state/federal guidelines.
* Meets regularly with supervisor and colleagues for case review and team collaboration necessary to ensure the success of embedded behavioral health services in the Catalyst project.
* Able to successfully collaborate with necessary wraparound services with community partners when an ROI is in place.
* Collaborate with SUD Supervisor to ensure clinical and professional development.
* Maintain licensure and/or certification requirements.
* Work effectively with outside resources, organizations, and Catalyst partners.
* Provide transportation to SUD related services as needed.
* Maintain positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems with clients and staff.
* Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Pt 2.
* Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
* As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
* Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
* Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

* an Associate's Degree in Addiction Studies; or,
* a Bachelor's Degree in Addiction Studies (preferred)
* a minimum of three years related experience and/or training (preferred)

or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of the following:

* Harm Reduction strategies and interventions
* Familiarity with MAT services and Providers
* Motivational Interviewing
* ASAM levels of SUD service provision
* Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Homeless and vulnerable populations
* Community resources
* Recovery within communities of Indigenous and other persons of color

Certificates/Licenses: To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

* A current SUDP license in good standing from Washington State
* A valid Driver's License
* Successfully pass background check applicable to position.
