Part-time Lab Technician

JOB OVERVIEW: This position will assist with COVID-19 specimen collection and testing at drive-thru testing locations and perform functions related to contact tracing. This is a temporary position with available shifts Monday - Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM with occasional weekend hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs laboratory procedures for specimen collection and processing
* Performs approved testing methods for rapid screening
* Performs calibration techniques on laboratory equipment
* Performs functions related to contact tracing
* Compliance with Safety and Work Policies
* Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required
* Demonstrates good laboratory practice
* Reports and maintains record of patient test results
* Monitors quality control performance and corrects any problems and/or reports any problems to supervisor
* Performs appropriate cleaning of equipment and work area

REQUIREMENTS:

* Associate Degree in Physical Science, Life Science or related field
* Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications: ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent (or eligibility)
