SeClienthing for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to the male population at this reception prison. Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on needs of facility. Assignment may least at least 6 months and may be extended based on good fit and mutual need. On-call coverage is not required but may be requested after 3 months then implemented only if there is mutual agreement. Assignment could lead to permanent hire. Both a phone interview and on-site meeting/tour will be required.

Physician Duties
  • Working collaboratively with intra and interCliental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
  • Managing medication
  • Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
  • Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
  • Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
  • Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
