Summary

The role of a dentist encompasses a range of responsibilities related to oral health and dental care. Dentists are healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat problems with patients' teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. They play a crucial role in promoting oral hygiene and preventing dental diseases.
 
Responsibilities
  • Conduct dental examinations to assess patients' oral health.
  • Diagnose dental conditions and diseases using X-rays, examinations, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patients, which may include procedures such as fillings, root canals, extractions, or dental surgeries.
  • Administer anesthetics when necessary for procedures.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines related to dental practice, including infection control protocols and patient confidentiality laws.
  • Ensure the dental office and equipment meet safety standards and are properly maintained. #hcc
Qualifications/License
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid state license to practice dentistry.
