Overview

Shifts will rotate between OSF SFMC and the OSF Cancer Institute

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

* High School Diploma/ GED,
* Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
* Must be ARRT eligible

Licensure/ Certification:

* BLS American Heart Association
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered
* ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) one year after hire if not currently registered.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

2 years radiography experience.

1 year MRI experience.
