Job Description

Position Summary:

The HEDIS Pharmacy Outreach Coordinator is an active member of the HEDIS department and works closely with other team members and management. The HEDIS Pharmacy Outreach Coordinator will perform outbound calls to beneficiaries regarding quality measures related to medications. The HEDIS Pharmacy Outreach Coordinator will report to the management team of the HEDIS department and will take on active roles related to pharmacy, provider and patient outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Will be an integral member, responsible for supporting and enhancing the HEDIS department. Areas of involvement will include, but not limited to:
Working closely with the Clinical Pharmacist, Project Manager, and other staff to identify and provide outreach to pharmacies, providers and patients

  • Written and verbal communication and transmission of information is clear, concise and is in proper business and grammatical format
  • Preparing and maintaining records and files which are neat, organized, thorough and readily accessed
  • Contacting provider offices and pharmacies to ensure that new or refill prescription requests are received timely, and filled
  • Contacting patients to inform them that their approved new or refill prescription from their provider is ready at their pharmacy
  • Completing assignments within specified timelines and reporting project progress to designated person
  • Communicating with internal and external beneficiaries in a professional manner and follows through on commitments
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload with frequent interruptions and changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment on special projects
  • Skill in working independently, but with supervision
  • When identifying a problem, informs management in a timely manner so the problem can be corrected
  • Protecting and maintaining confidentiality and privacy of all patient information, including adherence to strict protocols for HIPAA
  • Supporting the company's vision, mission, values, goals, and policies
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $24 - $26 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements

Education and / or Experience:

  • High School diploma
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • One year experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Familiarity with managed care, commercial and point of service medical care preferred.
  • HEDIS experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Ability to type >40 WPM
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
