P6 Scheduler

Southland Holdings is looking for a experienced P6 Scheduler to join our team at our headquarters in Grapevine, TX. The scheduler is often required at the start of a project, regardless of whether it is simple or complex, to forecast the duration of the project and its activities.

Duties:

* Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
* Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams
* Assess impacts to critical path and near-critical activities, report to project team
* Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action
* Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis
* Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule
* Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule
* Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths
* Evaluate activity sequences for constructability
* Analyze change orders for schedule impacts
* Resource load schedules as required by the project team
* Perform job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities
* Position will require traveling to jobsites.

Qualifications:

* Construction/related degree with construction scheduling experience
* 2-3 years of experience
* Experience working with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling
* Understanding of construction process
* Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings
* Basic Knowledge of contract procedures and principles and excellent computer skills and analytical ability
* Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
* Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects
