DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of merchandise to designated stores.
  • To count and sign for all store-to-store transfers, monogramming, and 975 transfers.
  • To deliver and pickup all store mail, closeouts, and ads.
  • To operate company vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
  • To help with store personnel in the unloading of truck.
  • Write up manifest sheets for stores if necessary.
  • All drivers traveling over 100 miles one way are required to complete a pre-trip inspection and to maintain an accurate log of each trip that will meet requirements of the Department of Transportation.
  • Record weekly truck inspections.
  • Report any truck mechanical issues to Distribution Center Manager and/or Traffic Supervisor.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: MUST HAVE AN ALABAMA DRIVER'S LICENSE AND COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE. MUST PASS D.O.T. PHYSICAL. MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE A FAVORABLE M.V.R.
