JOB SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant for#the#Orthopedic#unit#is an essential member of the patient care team who contributes to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. #The CNA will be responsible for assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, oral care, hair care, shaving, and other activities of daily living. #They will aid the RN in performing vitals, providing post-op care, ambulation, mobility, and positioning. #As part of an interdisciplinary team, they will actively participate in establishing plans of care.# # JOB REQUIREMENTS # EDUCATION Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course Valid State of Maine CNA certification BLS certification required# # EXPERIENCE No previous experience is required, willing to train the right candidate # OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required Ability to function in high-stress situations Flexibility is required to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant for the Orthopedic unit is an essential member of the patient care team who contributes to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

* Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course
* Valid State of Maine CNA certification
* BLS certification required

EXPERIENCE

* No previous experience is required, willing to train the right candidate

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required
* Ability to function in high-stress situations
