Port Maintenance
Performs basic preventative maintenance and repair, including required inspections, on all container lifting equipment. Troubleshoots electrical and hydraulic systems and makes repairs as needed. Works with senior technicians on repairs involving advanced maintenance procedures and techniques. Repairs oil, hydraulic, and diesel fuel tanks as needed. Maintains accurate and complete work logs and inspection documentation.
* Keeps work area and equipment clean, orderly and safe.
* Participates in training seminars, classes, and technically oriented workshops.
* Performs fueling duties when assigned in absence of a fueler.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months experience preferred.
LICENSE: Valid local driver's license - Non-Commercial Class "E" required.
TRAVEL: N/A
