Assistant Coach, Women's Volleyball

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Assistant Coach for our women's volleyball program. Responsibilities will include analyzing performance and instructing student athletes, individually and in groups, in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Faulkner University is an NAIA Division I member, and is competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 9-month position.

Summary of Duties:

* Assist in coordinating all aspects of the women's volleyball program
* Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions
* Provide direction, training and encouragement to prepare athletes for games and competitive events
* Recruit and retain high quality athletes
* Budget management and public affairs

Qualifications:

* Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
* Previous coaching experience and/or college playing experience preferred
* Frequent evening and weekend hours, and travel
* Active member of the church of Christ preferred
