We are searching for Refrigeration Technicians to assemble, perform basic electrical wiring, charge and test chiller equipment while ensuring that production objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with the Company's high-quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

* Develop and maintain a competent and ongoing knowledge of the technical operation and testing of the chiller products, which includes electrical, refrigeration, and dairy sanitation regulations.
* Read and assemble from blue prints, general construction drawings, sketches or other specifications with proficiency and minimal direction. Assembly includes basic electrical wiring.
* Set up and operate chiller testing and charging equipment, as well as a variety of other machines and hand tools related to the assembly and testing of chillers.
* Set up and execute high quality copper brazed connections.
* Follow work instructions for assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
* Perform all necessary testing and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is performing properly prior to packaging and shipping.
* Accurately complete all documentation related to the testing and charging of chillers.
* Inspect work performed by others and accurately complete the inspection paperwork.
* Maintain good documentation practices.
* Facilitate and promote safe and clean working conditions.
* Assist production team in identifying and resolving quality issues as needed.
* Proactively look for, and execute on, opportunities to continuously improve the manufacturing of chillers.
* Utilize and maintain Kanban system.
* Handle material using proper lifting devices.
* Identify preventative safety opportunities.
* Attend huddles and contribute to open book management.
* Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
* Other duties and projects as assigned.
* The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
* Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
* Overtime is a condition of employment and may be required from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

* Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.
* Ability to read a tape measure.
* Ability to read, interpret and follow blue prints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
* Advanced mechanical aptitude.
* Advanced attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency.
* Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
* Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Vehicles.
* Strong Brazing skills.
* Wiring and electrical troubleshooting experience.
* Knowledge of Kanban systems.

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Universal EPA 608 Refrigerant Usage Certificate required.
* Two (2) to three (3) years manufacturing, brazing and/or refrigeration testing and troubleshooting experience preferred.
* Knowledge and experience of process chillers is preferred.

Working Conditions

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.
