JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for managing all supplier/vendor activities for MBUSA with focus on the security and integrity of our vendor relationships. The role entails conducting rigorous information security checks, interpreting complex policies, and executing thorough due diligence and risk assessments. Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement, the incumbent will be instrumental in effectively assessing and mitigating vendor-related risks, thereby safeguarding the company's interests and ensuring operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Due Diligence and Compliance
a. Lead and oversee information security checks for all vendor relationships, meticulously ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory frameworks.
b. Execute comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the potential risks posed by vendor engagements. Act as a trusted consultant to business owners, providing expert guidance on MB policies and procedures to initiate and facilitate compliance due diligence processes.
c. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of due diligence activities, including risk assessments, compliance findings, and remediation plans ensuring transparency and accountability.
d. Stay abreast of policy changes, regulatory updates, and industry best practices to proactively ensure vendor compliance and mitigate emerging risks. Continuously monitor changes in MB policies and regulations relevant to supplier management and information security, integrating updates into existing compliance frameworks and risk assessment processes. Additionally, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to interpret and implement policy changes effectively.
2. Vendor Lifecycle Process Oversight
a. Act as the end-to-end single point of contact for business units, offering end-to-end guidance through the suppliers/vendors lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards. This includes meticulous oversight of onboarding processes, continuous monitoring, and comprehensive assessments during supplier offboarding.
b. Foster close collaboration with business units to facilitate seamless vendor engagements that align with organizational objectives.
3. Vendor Relationship Monitoring and Risk Management
a. Manage the existing portfolio of vendors/suppliers, instituting robust governance for ongoing vendor relationship management.
b. Identify bundling opportunities to optimize vendor engagements, reduce costs, and improve overall effectiveness.
c. Systematically identify, quantify, report, and proactively manage risks associated with vendors and outsourcing opportunities.
d. Create comprehensive vendor profiles and classify vendors based on associated risks.
e. Conduct regular updates and reviews to ensure the accuracy of vendor information.
4. Performance Management
a. Assist internal customers in monitoring vendors in accordance with agreed key performance indications (KPIs) and Service level agreements (SLAs)
b. Develop scorecard metrics to evaluate vendor performance and provide constructive feedback against established expectations.
5. Additional duties as required.
Qualifikationen
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of six years of experience in any combination of the following areas:
Vendor Management
Information Security
Procurement
Accounting
Administration
Business - General, Business Management, Project Management, Finance, Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM)
Marketing / Market Research
Contract Negotiation / Legal
* Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and standards.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to analyze data, establish facts, identify trends and variance, and integrate information from a variety of sources with varying levels of complexity.
* Strong understanding of policies, compliance, and risk management.
* Execute with a high degree of self-direction, self-management, business professionalism, and integrity to adhere to strict MB policies.
* Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in any of the following:
Accounting
Business Administration
Business Management
Communications
Economics, Finance
Information Technology
International Relations / Business
Technical Management-Logistics
Mathematics
Management Information System (MIS)
Marketing, Statistics, Technology
The equivalent combination of education and / or experience in Project management, contracting, negotiation and direct / production material procurement.
* Certification(s) related to Project Management, Information Security, or related fields
