Job Summary:

The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for the front desk administrative duties of a high volume Dental Faculty Practice.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling appointments and performing pre-registration intake
  • Collect patient registration information to determine eligibility and private co-payments.
  • Check insurance eligibility and for notating confirmation for each visit in patient's chart.
  • Answers telephones.
  • Set up of new charts for patients and enter all information into electronic health record.
  • Enter care forms & daily procedures and collect treatment fees.
  • Maintain Lock box entrees and daily log sheets.
  • Collects correct patient copayments and understands how to read the ledger.

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of Dental experience in front desk/admin asst.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practices a must.
  • Experience in dental software packages.
  • Available to work Saturdays and Evening hours.
