**UPMC's Heart and Vascular Institute at Memorial Hospital in York is** **currently** **looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to their team. The LPN** **provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers. Heart and Vascular experience is helpful, but not a requirement of the position. In this position, you will join a great team environment and work in a beautiful, brand-new office with lots of natural sunlight and positive energy. Our providers are excellent to work for and they throw a massive independent Holiday Party for the team.**

**Hours: Core business hours are 8am-4:30pm - willingness to do 7:30a-4pm shift or 8:30a-5pm shift as needed.** **NO WEEKENDS, NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS**

**Responsibilities:**

+ Room patients, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs & weight, obtain past medical history and other demographics.

+ Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.

+ Complete EKG's as ordered.

+ Assist with phone calls, triage/assess as needed.

+ Check out patients- Schedule Cardiac/Vascular testing, procedures, and surgeries.

+ Place cardiac monitors as needed.

+ Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

+ Work clinical encounters (in basket messages) in Epic.

+ Draw blood.

+ Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).

+ Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.

+ Comply with all policies and procedures.

+ Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.

+ Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

+ Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.

**Qualifications - Interna**

+ Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.

+ 1-year clinical experience preferred, but NOT required.

+ New graduate LPN's welcome to apply.

**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireClearances must be dated within 90 days

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

+ Act 33 with renewal

+ Act 34 with renewal

+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
