The LPN provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers. Heart and Vascular experience is helpful, but not a requirement of the position. In this position, you will join a great team environment and work in a beautiful, brand-new office with lots of natural sunlight and positive energy. Our providers are excellent to work for and they throw a massive independent Holiday Party for the team. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm with some flexibility as needed i.e 7:30am-4pm, 8am-4:30pm. Only 1 late shift per month (10:30am-7pm). NO WEEKENDS, NO MAJOR HOLIDAYS Responsibilities: Room patients, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs & weight, obtain past medical history and other demographics. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Complete EKG's as ordered Assist with phone calls, triage/assess as needed Check out patients- Schedule Cardiac/Vascular testing, procedures, and surgeries. Place cardiac monitors as needed Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. Work clinical encounters (in basket messages) in Epic. Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. 1-year clinical experience preferred, but NOT required.
