McLean's multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care.

The Staff Psychologist is responsible for using a variety of therapy models including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for residential and partial hospital patients. The Staff Psychologist will contribute to case formulation, overall assessment, and the development of treatment plans. Clinical psychology practice applies specific knowledge, theories, and methods to assessment and diagnosis, treatment (individual, couple, family, and group), and aftercare planning. The Psychologist will also run groups and assist in the overall group therapy program by evaluating group interventions and updating protocols as needed. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Successful candidate will also be involved in the supervision/training of students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows.

This person has the responsibility to provide clinical services for assigned patients, as well as to participate in the activities of the program. They are encouraged to participate in other hospital activities including committees, teaching, and research. Successful candidate should have demonstrated clinical experience relevant to the patient needs of the program.

* Provides clinical services including individual psychotherapy 3 times per week, family therapy where assigned as family therapist 1-2 times per week and co-leads groups.
* Maintains contact with family members as appropriate
* Documents in the record the completion of treatment plans, patient encounter forms, appropriate progress notes, clinical summaries, and other documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
* Serves as liaison to other health care professionals including mental health practitioners and others
* Provides interface with payers and managed care organizations through the completion of timely and effective reviews and necessary authorizations for initial authorization for individual therapy cases and as needed during vacation and any other absence by Part time Utilization Reviewer.
* Participates in program and hospital administrative activities (e.g., staff meetings, CQI, hospital committees, etc.)
* Maintains awareness of medicolegal/risk management issues.
* Participates in the hospital teaching and research efforts, including supervision of trainees and CRC's as assigned.

Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license and being board certified/board eligible.

Qualifications:

* Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in psychology from an accredited school of psychology.
* Licensure appropriate to clinical discipline.
* Candidates who have completed or are reaching completion of training and who will be licensure eligible welcome to apply.

Required to complete electronic medical records training and demonstrate 80% accuracy on competency test within 30 days of hire.
