McLean's multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care.

McLean Hospital is seeking to fill a half-time staff psychologist position within the Psychotic Disorders Division. The position specifically includes duties within the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Outpatient Program. The idesl candidate will have training and experience assessing for and treating mood and psychotic disorders using evidence based assessments and interventions.

The Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Outpatient Clinic provides individual and group psychotherapy services for adults. Evidence based treatmentinterventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family-Focused Therapy, Supportive and psychoeducational therapies for Bipolar Disorders amd schizophrenia are offered.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Conduct diagnostic interviews and provide timely case conceptualization, patient feedback and treatment recommendations. Provide evidence based outpatient individual and group therapy treatment for bipolar and psychotic adults.

This candidate will have the responsibility to provide clinical services for assigned patients and may also have opportunities to participate in research and training, and exeprience.

In addition

- Documents in the record by the completion of treatment plans, patient encounter forms, appropriate progress notes, clinical summaries and other documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Serves as liaison to other health care professionals including mental health practitioners and others
- Participates in program and hospital administrative activities (e.g. staff meetings, CQI, hospital committees, etc.)
- Maintains awareness of medicolegal/risk management issues

Salary and recruitment package in accordance with hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contigent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts licensure.

Qualifications

Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D degree in psychology from an accredited school of psychology.

Licensure appropriate to clinical discipline.

All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.

Required to complete electronic medical records training, and demonstrate 80% accuracy on competency test within 30 days of hire.
