Position Summary
The University of Miami, Desai Sethi Urology Institute at the Miller School of Medicine invites applications for a Biostatistician, open rank commensurate with experience, open track faculty member anticipated to begin in Spring 2023.
You will be a full-time biostatistician in the Institute. In this role, you will be expected to lead the analytic strategy of projects and participate in and provide statistical support for the academic/ research activities of the Institute including, but not limited to:
* Assist members of the Institute and collaborators from Urology and uropathology in the statistical analysis of data collected/databases developed by either performing the pertinent analysis and/or recommending about the best statistical approach for analyzing the data.
* Provide statistical advice for the construction of clinical trials and other clinical research studies within the Institute.
* Develop and assist in the development of grants for scientific studies and provide support for any sample size or statistical analysis
* Devote time to personal research which contributes to the research agenda of the Institute in particular and to the biostatistics and data science fields in general
* Serve on committees to provide statistical support and guide research
Minimum Qualifications
* Ph.D. degree with specific graduate training in biostatistics, bioinformatics, data science, or related discipline.
* Evidence of high-impact publications.
* Effective oral and written communications.
* Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience with medical issues in Urology is a plus.
* Experience with supervising an analytic team in a collaborative environment.
