The University of Miami, Desai Sethi Urology Institute at the Miller School of Medicine invites applications for a Biostatistician, open rank commensurate with experience, open track faculty member.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the analytic strategy of projects and participate in and provide statistical support for the academic/research activities of the Institute.
- Assist members of the Institute and collaborators from Urology and uropathology in the statistical analysis of data collected/databases developed.
- Provide statistical advice for the construction of clinical trials and other clinical research studies within the Institute.
- Develop and assist in the development of grants for scientific studies and provide support for any sample size or statistical analysis.
- Devote time to personal research which contributes to the research agenda of the Institute in particular and to the biostatistics and data science fields in general.
- Serve on committees to provide statistical support and guide research.
- Ph.D. degree with specific graduate training in biostatistics, bioinformatics, data science, or related discipline.
- Evidence of high-impact publications.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful conclusions.
- Prior experience with medical issues in Urology is a plus.
- Experience with supervising an analytic team in a collaborative environment.
