Position Title: Women's Basketball Assistant Coach

Position Description: Performs coaching and promotional functions, including fundraising, for the ACC women's basketball team.

Reports To: Women's Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director

Position Status: Temporary Part-time, Exempt, Paid by Stipend, subject to annual review and appointment. Season runs November through March; practice begins in early fall. Recruitment and other related activities may extend beyond the season.

Classification/Points: Not Applicable

Bargaining Unit/Division: None

Position Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Provide assistance in the direction and coordination of the basketball program in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the women's basketball program.
* Assist with recruitment of team members.
* Assist head coach with equipment maintenance and storage at the completion of the coaching season.
* Must be willing to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Coordinate and ensure compliance with College, conference, and NJCAA policies and regulations.
* Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of the student athletes.
* Follow all ACC and Athletic Department policies and procedures.
* Assist head coach with conducting daily practices (practice schedule varies from early morning to evening).
* Travel with team to all games and tournaments.
* Plan, schedule and coordinate pre-season conditioning program.
* Provide other program services as directed by the Women's Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Position Qualifications:

* Ccoaching experience at a high school or college level.
* Demonstrated administrative and leadership qualities required.
* Must possess current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Strong computer skills including computer, phone, e-mail and text messaging.
