The Job

As a Retail Cashier you have the opportunity to:

* Develop a long-term career with an established, employee-owned company
* Work on a great team focused on helping customers
* Receive training in other departments to grow with Jerry's

Cashiers work to:

* Actively step out and greet customers in the checkout line
* Verify customers found what they needed
* Accurately scan product
* Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for products we don't currently have available
* Ensure correct pricing and verify total amounts
* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

A Retail Cashier requires:

* Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to comfortably use a Point-of-Sale system and computers
* Ability to scan accurately, efficiently, and to follow all Checkout procedures
* Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
* Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
* Ability to comfortably use a computer, mobile phone and radio
* Ability to stand/walk on concrete

Schedule

* Flexible schedules
* Schedule may vary and can include opening, closing, and weekend shifts based on business needs

Compensation

* Hourly Rate
