Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
* Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement
* Provide employees with safety related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment
* Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in safety management
* Manage workers' compensation claims and maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, inspections, and corrective actions

General Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting findings
* Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Proficient in using computer software applications related to safety management
