We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team on a new 12 hour shift Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Our census is growing and we are looking to grow our staff with it As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a nursing unit or department. You will provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on a designated shift
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
- Provide education and training to nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards, protocols, and regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Valid nursing license in [state]
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment, and medication administration
- Familiarity with hospital medicine, coding, and internal medicine practices
- Experience in airway management, pediatrics, or nursing home settings is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
