Engineering Team Lead

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Key Role:

Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of experience with engineering and the design, prototyping, manufacturing, or testing of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, thermal, or control systems

2+ years of experience with building and fielding systems for military use that encompass thermal or electro-mechanical systems

1+ years of experience with people or project leadership

Ability to use a broad range of engineering tools, including SolidWorks, Matlab, Python, MathCad, or LabView

Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts outside of your expertise to provide solutions to complex engineering and technical problems

Ability to support bid and proposal efforts by applying subject matter expertise to estimate levels of effort (LOE) for various disciplines required for a project

Ability to manage project timelines and building project schedules and provide leadership across multiple engineering and technical disciplines

Ability to generate written and oral presentations and conduct briefings to senior-level leadership

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with Visio or Microsoft Project

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
