Senior Systems Administrator

DAS is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to become an integral part of our team conducting innovative software development on projects supporting various Naval Combat Training Systems for our customer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Projects entail execution of scientific, engineering and technical services required for the design, development, integration, test, fleet implementation and maintenance of training simulation systems. This position offers the opportunity to support the network infrastructure, services, and systems associated with software development efforts for leading edge Navy Combat System Training Systems.Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.*Responsibilities:** Provide cyber security engineering services for classified and unclassified networks of computer systems running primarily Linux operating systems in support of development networks.* Assess system vulnerabilities, implement risk mitigation strategies, validate secure systems, and test security products and systems to detect security weakness.* Execute and improve processes and procedures to maintain DoD-defined Information Assurance (IA) security posture on systems (CMMC, 800-171, 800-53).* Assist in DCSA IA Assessments* Collaborate with DevOps engineers to develop/maintain CI/CD environment which includes (Jenkins pipelines, quality and security analysis tools, etc)* Assist in the creation of technical documentation in support of systems.* Provide IT support for developers.*Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree and 8+ years related experience in positions of increasing responsibility; or a comparable Master's Degree and 6+ years of experience.* *Must *be a US Citizen (without dual citizenship) for clearance regulations. *Please do not apply if you do not have US Citizenship.** Active or Inactive US DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher.* Possess certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II or III approved baseline certifications.*Required Expertise:** Demonstrated expertise in the Linux operating system and CLI.* Demonstrated significant experience in Linux systems administration, including expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky, or Ubuntu, particularly from an information assurance and remediation perspective.* Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps or DevSecOps environments to include CI/CD, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.* Demonstrated experience with VM's and hypervisors and Kubernetes orchestrated containers.* Familiarity with enterprise network architectures.* Experience with automated configuration management and server provisioning via tools such as Ansible.* Experience with cyber security operations.* Familiarity with network architectures and administration, network protocols, router/switch configuration (Cisco IOS, etc), and firewall operations*Desired Experience:** Experience with deploying and maintaining DoD IA programs, such as DoD 8570 and DoD 5520.
