As a WiFi 6E and 7 Test Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our next-generation wireless network solutions. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts, analyzing test results, and identifying areas for improvement. Your expertise in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and networking protocols will be essential in validating the functionality and performance of our WiFi devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Framework Development:
- Design and implement robust test automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Python.
- Integrate test frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of automated test cases to cover various test scenarios.
- Test Case Design and Execution:
- Collaborate with network engineers and product managers to understand product requirements and design effective test cases.
- Execute automated test cases on WiFi routers and other network devices.
- Analyze test results and generate detailed reports.
- Network Configuration and Troubleshooting:
- Configure WiFi routers and other network devices using Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- Cloud Infrastructure:
- Utilize AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to deploy and manage test environments.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of test infrastructure.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Write scripts using Bash or Shell to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the testing process.
- Develop custom scripts to interact with network devices and analyze test data.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Python and Robot Framework.
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of WiFi technologies, including 802.11ax and 802.11be standards.
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS).
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Shell).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with network performance testing tools (iPerf, Wi-Fi Analyzer).
- Certification in network engineering or cybersecurity.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $84K to 96K
depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
