Job Summary:
Methodist Healthcare System is recruiting a BC/BE pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist to join our Congenital Heart Institute and serve as Director of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia. The chosen candidate will oversee a team of anesthesia providers and be an integral member of the Heart Institute Leadership structure in San Antonio, TX.Qualified candidates:
- BC/BE Anesthesiology
- Pediatric cardiac anesthesia fellowships required
- 7-10 years or greater independent practice experience
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to work as part of collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an ACGME anesthesiology residency program
- Texas medical license, or eligible for unrestricted Texas licensure

About Methodist Children’s Heart Institute, Methodist Children’s Hospital & Methodist Healthcare System:
- Methodist Children’s Heart Institute is a well-established and rapidly expanding program, which performs the full spectrum of procedures including neonatal cardiac surgery and surgery for low birth weight babies, complex valve repair, pulmonary autograft procedure, and adult congenital heart surgery.
- 202-bed facility with seven operating suites
- 94 NICU beds and a 17-bed pediatric intensive care unit with plans for future expansion to a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit
