The Senior Mechanical Estimator is primarily responsible for the preparation of complete Mechanical (and related) estimates for hard bids, negotiated bids, conceptual budgets, pre-construction proposals and design-build proposals. Responsibilities will include attending pre-bid meetings, preparing scopes of work, calculating complete Mechanical takeoffs, soliciting bids, maintaining subcontractor relationships and following awarded projects through to turnover to Operations.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.Required Skills:Ability to takeoff HVAC & Plumbing systems using Quote soft, Quote Express software.Cultivate relationships with vendors for material quotes.Organize and manage estimating database.Create Scope of work & contracts for negotiated projects.Understanding job specifications and local codes.Field experiences in HVAC & Plumbing installation a plus.Self-Motivated and team player attitude.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.10+years of estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience with at least 5+ in estimating mechanical systems.Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, Expert knowledge in mechanical systems and the costs associated with these systems.Ability to estimate all types of projects / contracts, plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort.Excellent Organizational SkillsDemonstrated attention to detailAbility to multi-task and establish prioritiesMust be goal oriented and a self-starterAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented work environment.Strong communication and analytical skillsMYCO Mechanical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
