We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in the care and treatment of animals, ensuring their health and well-being while assisting veterinarians in various procedures. Your passion for animal care and your technical skills will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality veterinary services.

*Responsibilities*
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic or hospital setting.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and exercising animals.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.

*Skills*
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices.
- Proficiency in veterinary critical care techniques.
- Experience in animal care and animal handling.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with the team.
- Knowledge of kennel management practices for optimal animal welfare.
- Skills in dog training methodologies to assist with behavioral issues.
- Understanding of dental terminology related to veterinary dentistry procedures.
- Competence in dog handling techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals.
- A genuine love for pets and commitment to providing exceptional pet care.

Digital xray, Idexx diagnostics, Inovadent dental cart, digital dental xray and much more Our technicians are responsible for surgical monitoring, dental cleanings, digital radiography, postsurgical care, Idexx in house labwork, answering the phones and accurate recordkeeping.
We offer paid CE, license fees, holidays, vacation, sick time, generous pet discounts, uniform allowance and Simple IRA 3% match. Shared dental, vision and health insurance.
