This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost accounting, including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and account reconciliation, and a proven track record of managing cost accounting functions in a manufacturing setting. With a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, you will play a critical role in driving our financial success by ensuring accurate and timely cost accounting and reporting.Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Work closely with the production and supply chain teams to understand and analyze manufacturing costs. Develop and implement cost standards for materials and labor, and monitor and report on variances. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets and forecasts, and analyze financial performance against these. Lead the month-end and year-end close process for cost accounting, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed on time. Drive continuous improvement in cost accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Provide leadership and direction to the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or certification such as a CPA or CMA is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of financial accounting and account reconciliation. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Strong knowledge of cost accounting systems and processes, and experience with implementing improvements in these. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems.
