The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) plays a vital role in assisting occupational therapists in the implementation of treatment plans designed to help patients achieve independence in daily living and working activities. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals across various settings, including home health, clinics, and acute care facilities. The COTA will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics, to facilitate recovery and enhance their functional abilities.

*Duties*
* Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
* Conduct therapy sessions that focus on enhancing patients' ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the occupational therapist regarding treatment effectiveness.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued improvement outside of therapy sessions.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and treatment interventions.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.

* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
* Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare teams.
* Experience or knowledge in various settings such as home health, pediatrics, acute care, geriatrics, and occupational health.
* Ability to assess patient needs and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members.
* Proficient in documenting patient progress and maintaining organized records.
* Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on rehabilitation and independence.

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
